The know-how of gainie r, gainier a profession which is lost, conquered by the change of lifestyle. This ancestral art of perfection consists in covering any object with leather to sublimate it. The malle2luxe leather workshop   acquired its unique know-how in sheathing from the oldest sheathing house still in activity in Paris the  Maison Rotival founded in 1895 ,  Gilbert Rotival 85 years old , third generation of the  best workers in France  , passed on to us this know-how of excellence.  

Malle2luxe continues it in the manufacture of custom leather cases. We are neither a wholesaler nor a reseller. We only produce made-to-measure, in France, in Paris.

Design and manufacture of boxes for collector's items and high jewelry boxes for rings, pendants, earrings, jewelry, timepieces, curiosities, silverware and also watch boxes, boutique accessories, displays, trays. All shapes are possible to create luxurious and unique cases. The limit of our creations is your imagination.

Fine jewelry  represents the manufacture of extraordinary jewelry, elevated to the rank of the impossible, that of technical prowess guaranteeing excellence know-how, combined with precious metals and the most exceptional stones. Each piece of jewelry is  unique  and cannot be reproduced.

A piece of fine jewelry costs at least 50,000 euros, and can exceed one million euros,  there is no limit. 

The case will enchant the jewel of equal refinement. He will know how to sublimate it to fully appreciate its magnificence.

Take the overall  dimensions  of your jewelry

Determine the spaces around the jewel and make a 1/1 scale sketch of the case with the jewel. 

Mark location and clasp systems :

clamp, stroller (butterfly), screw, sleeper, hook ...

Determine the opening direction of the case

4.1-  In the case of a simple opening, choose the finish of the button:

• Leather 
• Golden brass

4.2 - In the case of a double opening, choose the number of fixing brackets. As well as the finish of the buttons:

Choose the color and the exterior leather 

• Breteuil leather

We do not supply its products which are from old stocks and therefore the colors and quantities are not followed.

For the cover interiors, you can provide us with your old duchess satin, or old silk satin, velvet or other textile. Each high jewelry house has their own stock and we regulate the fabric as and when orders are made.

We manufacture and customize silk hand brushes specifically designed for the maintenance of your jewelry boxes, presentation trays, store displays, showcase interiors, and other accessories covered in suede or velvet fabric.

Crafted in France with beech wood and natural animal bristles, they are encased in leather in the colors of your choice and hot stamped with your company logo or name, offering maximum customization.

They provide deep cleaning, effectively removing dust and straightening the leather fibers, aligning them in the same direction. This helps restore the original appearance of your items. Our elegant brushes do more than just clean; they create an exceptional customer experience. The leather workshop,

Malle2luxe is one of the last French houses to make its pieces, hand-sewn (saddle stitch). Certain work on request can be machine stitched, made with the greatest respect for the traditions of leather craftsmanship.

For the manufacture of a case, the materials used are natural and traditional materials:  

• The wood  for the structure and the leather to wrap your precious objects, sometimes silk. The wood we use is poplar from French forests. Extremely light, the structure is only 3 mm to 5 mm thick.

• From goat leather, all the leathers offered are tanned in France. High-end skins, the choice of excellence.

First and foremost, be sure that the leather we use has great traceability. If at one time wild animals were victims of poaching endangering the extinction of the species, that time is over.

International cooperation, aimed at ensuring the preservation of endangered species, has established traceability by the Washington Convention (CITES).

This highly supervised trade requires that each skin has a unique bar code certifying its origin and the guarantee of the preservation of its resources for the future. Slaughter is regulated by a quota specific to each country according to the population in the country of origin. It is for this reason that we can find elephant, ostrich, rhinoceros, seal, shark, kangaroo, caiman, snake leather ...

Under no circumstances can the rare leathers found in France come from poaching animals.

Apart from this particular case, all of the leathers we use are farmed leathers intended for local consumption:

• Goat: India

• Cattle: Europe 

• Crocodile and alligator: Southern United States, Australia, Thailand

• Water snakes and reptiles: Thailand 

• Ostrich: South Africa

• Elephant: Africa

All these skins therefore come from slaughterhouses which feed, according to their cultures, the local population in the 4 corners of the world. It would be regrettable to waste all these skins which only ask to be sublimated to create exceptional objects! Much more ecological for the planet than plastic: imitation leather, pvc or other resin.

The skins are then tanned. This process makes it possible to stop the putrefaction. It consists of transforming the skins into leather, making them more durable and more flexible. This operation is done in tanneries.

Once tanned, the leather benefits from unmatched characteristics in terms of:

• Its mechanical properties (flexibility, traction, shear)
• Its resistance to abrasion (friction)
• Its conservation over time, a well-maintained leather can be eternal ...
