DEFINITION: MAIL TRUNK
The mail trunks Louis Vuitton are a series of trunks low flat top.
Whose maximum height is 57 cm
The depth is variable but often less than 57 cm
The length is variable but does not exceed 112 cm
These dimensions are variable the most common being 1 meter and 1.10 meter. Interior with 2 to 3 removable frames. It has 2 or 3 wooden slats on the front.
The name Courier does not designate a trunk for sending letters . But come from the term "long haul" corresponding to the vessel carrying out long-distance navigation . The mail trunks are therefore designed to travel in box cars dedicated to baggage and in the holds of boats. Despite everything, they respect standard dimensions allowing their handling.

LADIES TRUNK

LOW TRUNKS FOR LADIES: These models derive directly from the previous trunk, but while the large sizes are indicated for long journeys, those described here are, due to their more reasonable dimensions, mainly used for fast journeys. Their easy handling makes them very pleasant for circular trips.
The sizes of 100 and 90 cm. render very valuable services as visiting trunks; in 80 cm., they are excellent laundry trunks.
The frame-lockers are in all respects similar to that described on page 9, except in the 80 cm trunks. where the short length makes it necessary to do it in a single game and without a cage, the latter replaced by a free space.

MEN'S TRUNK

MEN'S TRUNKS : " MAN ". This model works on the same principle as the ladies' trunks described on pages 8 and 11; but the man's hat requiring much less space than the lady's hat, we were able to increase the size of the bowl where gloves, ties, collars, cuffs, scarves, handkerchiefs, etc., easily find space in boxes special.
Under this bowl is a large space for the laundry. At the end of the frame, hat and shoes, then a simple frame for shirts, and the bottom reserved for clothes.

MEN'S TRUNKS: "COURIER" . Under a different arrangement this trunk has exactly the same special locations as the previous one. The elimination of only hat and shoe compartments made it possible to reduce the height of the trunk and despite this, at the same length, it gives more room for clothes and shirts.

LADIES 'HIGH TRUNK: Around 1860, LOUIS VUITTON was the first to create LOCKER TRUNKS that, following variations in fashion, we have never ceased to modify and improve.
The locker trunk includes:
- On one side, a cage for small hats or for shirts, blouses, veils, etc.
- On the other side, a double frame, the top of which is occupied by a bowl with numerous partitions forming places for handkerchiefs, ties, ribbons, veils, frills, gloves, fans, lace, etc. Under this basin a large space for the laundry.
- Two simple frames and the bottom. In the simple model, there are 3 large united frames and a bottom.
